Nicaragua and Hotel Cottbus

accomodation
A wellness hotel Cottbus is a far cry away from Nicaragua with its hot and humid conditions and tropical climate.  Cottbus is situated between Dresden and Berlin, on the Spree River in north eastern Germany.  Cottbus city won the ‘Entente Florale’ gold medal back in 2001, and is known for its greenery.  Its flower displays are lovely especially throughout the summer months, when most of the flowers are in bloom.  There is a rich history which surrounds this university city, this has been shaped by both the Germans and the Sorbs.  The river Spree Forest lies close to Cottbus , this is known to the locals as Spreewald.  There is a great range of culture, nature and art on offer in this fine city, and there is something on offer for all ages.

The contrast between Cottbus and Nicaragua is evedent.  Nicaragua is home to the largest lake in Latin America.  There is plenty to see and do, there are active volcanoes which are situated in the Masaya Volcano National Park.  The temperatures in this part of the world reach around 30 degrees Celsius and above during the day.  During the night the temperatures do drop, but still reach above 20 degrees Celcius.  There are seasons when rainfall is at its peak, these are November to April and May to October, there is also a hurricane season and this is usually from July to August.  The best time of the year to visit Nicaragua is probably June, but it is always best to look as what the forecast did in the previous year to give you some kind of idea.

The inner city in Nicaragua is quite crowded, and the larger cities which surround Nicaragua are also home to plenty of hustle and bustle.  When flying to Nicaragua, you usually touch down in Augusto C Sandino which is Nicaragua’s international airport.  It is near Managua.  There are plenty of villages and cities to visit from Isla de Ometepe which is situated in the southern bit of the country.  Nicaragua near to the Caribbean and a good place to visit whilst over here is the Corn Islands which are just off the Caribbean coastline.  The islands are idyllic and the surroundings are just off a picture postcard with fine sand, piercing blue sea  and palm trees dotted up and down the coastline.

Here on the Corn Islands the days activities can include scuba diving, snorkelling and ocean fishing, but the peacefulness of the surroundings, are just brilliant for relaxing.  The contrast between the Hotel Cottbus and Nicaragua is apparent, but both places have something special to offer the visitor.
